Why don't we just admit that it's all over in America and we're left with just trying to stick the landing?

The Numbers Band
I went solo to the Beachland to see 15-60-75 last night. It was Bob Kidney's 60th birthday celebration. While the show was rather sparsely attended in my opinion it was still a very cool evening.
The highlight came during the second set when the band was comprised of Bob, Jack and Terry being joined by Chris Butler on bass, Scott Krauss on drums and the still unbelievable Mike Stacey on the very same Telecaster he is still playing from 30 years ago.
They launched sequentially into a triple threat of tunes consisting of Jimmy Bell, About the Eye Game and The Animal Speaks that truly was not be believed.
If you missed it, you missed something special. I was there and am glad of it.

Fire up the Tivo boys!
Spoon plays SNL a week from Saturday.
In the meantime, I reckon you can satiate your buds with this tasty clip from a couple of weeks ago when they were on Jay Leno's lame ass show.

Miserable failure
Oh, I suppose some folks will defend Bush and say that it's only natural that someone would need "fone-etic" help in pronouncing the hard words that go into a speech, particularly one at the U.N.
Well, not me.
Listen, anybody who doesn't know how to pronounce Robert Mugabe's name AND is the President of the United States is an idiot. Ergo, Bush is an idiot.
Here endeth the lesson.
I'm Bitter
And you want to know why? Because it's 9:00 EST and I figure Nick Lowe is just this minute walking onto the stage at The Ark in Ann Arbor and I'm not there.
Nobody comes to Cleveland lately. Nobody.
Not even Wilco...just ask Mr. B. from West Park.

Compassionate Conservative
Ya know I always wondered what that phrase actually meant. And now here we have a Republican DOJ Attorney to help with the definition.
Sorter version...I guess compassionate conservatism is when you don't produce vaginal tearing while raping 5 year old girls.
Read the story.
I swear, the next person who tells me that they're a registered Republican, I'm going to have remember to ask them what is the best kind of lube to use whilst skull fucking infants. It'll be a nice icebreaker at my next cocktail party or freshman mixer.

My Way
This have been my philosophy for a long time now regarding vehicles. My Camry is now 8 years old and I just passed 83K miles on it last week.
I entirely plan on making it to 200,000 miles. New cars are for suckers.
