John vs. Paul songs

There are a host of tunes I could select to reflect the vast aesthetic difference between John's songwriting style versus that of the Mac. Personally, I identify with John's side of the equation more deeply and have always liked his tunes better.

In trying to select one for today's memoriam, I chose Savoy Truffle, not so much because it's a great song, but mostly because it's just been stuck in my head for about a flipping week now.

I've always thought the lyrics were funny as well.

They're alleged to be about Eric Clapton's chronic affliction for sweets and accompanying dental problems with rotting teeth hence the tag, "you'll have to have them all pulled out after the savoy truffle"...
