I tried reading Ulysses a couple of times and barely made a dent.
I think brother Dave gave it a full read one time and was worse for wear ultimately. I mean seriously; unless you're fluent in Latin, French, turn of the century Irish politics and can hold at least 8 structural concepts of a "story" in your head simultaneously, you're never gonna "get' this book.
Regardless, what other book compares to the spirited celebration of one day in time more than Bloomsday?...

Don't forget knowing Willie the Shake and the "bible", too...
I sit corrected. The "good book" does indeed play heavily into Leopold's tale.
