Sad, sad day

Jack the dog passed away at noon today.

He was truly a special guy and he will be missed by many. I had never been a dog owner until I met Jack. Georgene and I hit the jackpot in making him a part of our family for the past 16 years.

Goodnight to our sweet, sweet boy.

I saw your news over at TBogg's place and wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. There's something special about grinning dogs. Hugs to you and your family.

Jack, the dog, looks to have been an amiable, intelligent, and charming companion, and I grieve with you in your loss, for I know many such pangs.

Jack was a truly fine guy of a dog. Lots of treats await the prince in the great dog hereafter.

Darling Bobby,

We had to put our dog, Pepper, down two years ago. We just recently felt that we were ready to get another dog. And still, our hearts ache whenever Pepper's name is mentioned. My deepest sympathy to you and Georgene....

Love you,
Eileen

Dearest Georgene and Bob -

Melanie and I woefully read the news of Jack's passing. Though the news was sad, we were reminded of the good times he and Nugget spent during their early years together. Whatever your views of the afterlife, we are comforted by the assurance that Jack was greeted at the entrance by another one of Nugget's famous tongue tricks she loved to play on that boy of yours. We miss them both.
