Thoughts?...

Can someone/anyone help me understand why the Right is so opposed to HSR as a travel option when it could prove so lucrative to so many large corporations?

You could make the blanket assessment that nearly all "green" industry investments are suffering from the same policy led dementia on the part of the Right wing. If they're so friggin interested in a free market economy, why the heck are they so opposed to everything that has the taint of "green" on it?

I mean, so what if the company or the products that they make is saving on fossil fuels and polluting less...the money still spends. And by the way, it's green.

Height of irony that this article is the WSJ too. Fucktards.

They don't oppose "green" per se, so much asa they oppose ANYTHING that requires them to disturb their comfortable investments from reliable cash-cows like petroleum, and makes them 'risk' purchasing new machineries, etc.

More than in politics, I think periodically--every 30 years or so--all the resident wise ones of the financial establishment should be arrested and sent to re-education camps...
