Connie Schultz

Since those of us who live in the Cleve get to read her columns twice a week are accustomed to her terrific style, it's always jarring to examine her stuff at more of a distance.

Connie Schultz is a great writer, human being and journalist.

Wow... I only skimmed this yesterday and then printed it out so I could really read it at lunch today. Amazing piece which has encouraged me to read the book.

One thing that struck me was her quoting John Leonard: “It is as if Dante had gone to hell with a cassette recording of Jimi Hendrix and a pocketful of pills: our first rock-and-roll war, stoned murder.”

Vintage Leonard. I miss him, along with Molly, Vonnegut and Carlin...
