James Wolcott linked to this piece of bile about Sonia Sotomayor today and I couldn't resist linking to it either. This a quote I culled from the post.
A woman with a skin tone slightly darker than Sotomayor’s would be called a criada—a maid. She would be seen as fit only to be hired by a wealthy white family to clean, to cook and to sleep with the white family’s sons. This is the reality of the “richness” of Puerto Rican culture.
