Been Caught Stealin' -- Jane's Addiction

Really... "Been Caught Stealin"? I know music is a subjective mistress, but of all of the songs on that album, BCS has got to be my least favorite. Maybe it's because it was overplayed on MTV (I do believe it's J.A.'s best selling song), and it brought the jock-o-thon frat boy meatheads to their shows, but I'm really disappointed in this pick. I would have thought that "Three Days" or "Classic Girl" would have been more your style.
Otherwise keep up the weekly music posts. I love seeing what you're in to (at least on Fridays!)

Gentle Reader,
While you make some salient points about the oeuvre of Jane's Addiction, it must be remembered that it is the machine, (iPod in this case), that is providing the picks.
The rules of FRT are I hit shuffle on the iPod and allow it to select what comes up next, not me. Hence the word Random in the title of the weekly offering.
As for my tastes thanks for the thumbs up but why not submit your own submission to the Friday posts from here forward? What are your Random Ten?...and no editing.
Have a great weekend.
We're going to Colin Hay at a solo show tonight. Never thought much of Men At Work, but this guy is an outstanding busker/performer. It's our third time seeing him.
I occasionally throw out an alternative FRT myself, as you know. My first one was actually selected, but since then they have been the mysterious work of my iPod as well. Freaky little machine, the choices are often unusually thematic.
OK. I’ll take you up on your challenge! I just got a Crackberry for work, and loaded a few “must-have” albums onto it. So the list it generated is a little skewed since there are only a small set of files that I have loaded. To be fair to the point you made, there are a couple of songs on here that aren’t my faves from the represented bands, but they are still some pretty good tunes. On the flipside, I’d say there are at least three songs on this list that I would consider in my top 100 (though again, they do come from a small set of “must-have” albums).
And because I must head north to Stumptown early tomorrow to drink beer by the river (http://www.oregonbrewfest.com/), I give you my Thursday Ten, plus Bonus:
Ashes to Ashes – David Bowie
Enough Space – Foo Fighters
Coke – Flickerstick
Subliminal – Suicidal Tendancies
My Goodness – John Doe
Big Saturday – Jazz Butcher
The New World – X
Haunted When the Minutes Drag – Love and Rockets
Days That End in “Y” – Throw Rag
There’s Only One – Tones on Tail
Bonus Track:
Lyin’ Ass Bitch - Fishbone
-Marq
