Mitch Miller died this weekend at the ripe old age of 99. Seriously, who knew he was still alive. Not I for one.

Anyway, those records where a staple of my youth at the grandparents house and played a role in my ever loving relationship with popular music.

There's even some excellent cheesy ads in this clip and Mitch's version of a "minstrel show". Yikes.
