Upon closer examination


Even though there is legitimate reason for being pleased with yesterday's announcement of the withdrawal of US troops from Iraqi cities, Juan Cole puts things into a more reality based perspective for us.

We're leaving the cities to occupy those "temporary" bases that will NEVER be abandoned.
