John Lennon woulda been 68 today. Amazing. (LMS bonus trivia: CleBob was born the day after McCartney and I was born the day after Lennon. Fascinating, no?) I know we all see later, more iconic images of him in bed with Yoko, or with his “New York City” t-shirt or whatever, but this is the way I think of him: young, fresh (perhaps baked, as well) and holding his black Ric… which was the coolest thing I saw at the Rock Hall.

He was no saint, certainly wasn’t perfect. But he put himself out there and made peace a priority. We still miss his voice.
